1996 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate in the Christmas in Denmark series, designed by Hans Henrik Hansen. The title of this 1996 Christmas in Denmark plate is The Christmas Tree. Royal Copenhagen started this Christmas in Denmark series in 1991 and ended it in 1996. The philosophy of making the Christmas plates in this series was to created a Christmas plate which had more modern expression in colours and motifs than the highly appreciated blue Christmas plates.
The motifs of the six beautiful Christmas plates in the Royal Copenhagen Christmas in Denmark series has all been inspired by a Danish family’s Christmas at the turn of the century. The technique used for this plate was serigraphy.
